Mintridge Gold!

Woodston pupils in Year 5, selected for Mintridge Gold mentoring!

The Mintridge team are quickly starting to feel like part of the Woodston family! We were very excited to host our third visit of the year with footballer, Bobby Copping.

Bobby delivered an inspirational assembly to KS2 pupils before spending the day coaching Year 5, and our very own football teams! He taught the children the importance of hard work and resilience, as he shared his own story of how he had built his footballing career, only to have his dreams shattered by a life-changing injury. This did not stop him though. His resilience and hard-work allowed him to take his life in a new and exciting direction. Continuing to pursue his passions and help others.

During the day, two pupils were selected to become Mintridge Mentees. Lara and Alan will now have the privilege of being mentored by Bobby over the next 6 months and will be invited with their families to attend a game at POSH.

Huge congratulations to Lara and Alan and a massive thank you to Bobby for sharing his inspirational story. I am sure that it will continue to inspire our young people for years to come.
