Year 2 had a fun day of activities to ‘ignite’ our learning about the Great Fire of London! In pairs, we enjoyed building Tudor houses with wooden blocks and playing a game where we had to think strategically about how to stop the fire from spreading. In teams, we took part in an active quiz to learn new facts - our brains were ‘fired up’ and we were ‘Great’! We met Christopher, who showed us some artefacts and how to make gunpowder! Altogether, we loved helping to act out the story of key events, taking on different roles with props and teamwork, then asking our very own questions.
