Earlier in the week, Sid and Debs from Prodigal Connect had delivered 31 hampers full of Christmas goodies to Woodston school.  Not the 5 a day sort of goodies, but some lovely treats that most families indulge in at Christmas.  These hampers and the treats inside, did not go unnoticed by the children in the school or Mr File (who loves a chocolate or two!)

What is a young carer?

A young carer is someone under the age of 18 who helps to care for a family member, relative or friend.  Young people with caring responsibilities have all the challenges of being young, with all the responsibilities of being an adult, and they're often left to face these with little support.  As a school, we support young carers, to ensure they continue to have childhood experiences.
