Woodston Goes Global!

First Global Schools Alliance Meeting Held

What a brilliant experience the Year 6 school council members had during their first Global Schools Alliance Primary Student Council Meeting. Being members of the Global Schools Alliance Primary Student Council provides children with leadership skills, global awareness, collaboration opportunities, a voice in school decisions, and a chance to make a positive impact globally. The meeting's topic was ‘Jobs of the Future’ and our Woodston pupils enjoyed engaging with similar aged pupils from the Philippines, India and Ghana, exploring the myriad possibilities of future careers and how these careers can contribute to sustainable development goals. Witnessing the creation of a robot aimed at aiding hearing-impaired children during the meeting was truly remarkable. What an amazing experience for us and we eagerly anticipate the next one!
